JUST BECAUSE YOU CAN FIT IN UNDER ARMOUR DOESN'T MEAN YOU SHOULD WEAR IT!

TNT officially started last night. Fortunately I actually planned ahead for the frigid temps. Go figure it has been 60 degrees most of this winter until it is time for me to get out and move. As if I need any encouragement in staying in on my love seat with my laptop or latest crocheting project.

Two monthes ago I purchased two fleece jackets to wear in anticipation of this weather. I wanted something that could be thrown in the washer often. When the weather started to get a little chilly I noticed that the wind seemed to go right thru the jacket. (One of the cashiers at Baeslers mentioned she has a coat just like mine and that she had the same problem--so it wasn't just my imagination).

When I was Pacesetter one evening I mentioned this to the manager, Marsha, and she suggested getting a long sleeved Under Armour shirt to wear underneath. It would be warm but not bulky. Even with the great discount that they offer TNT members it cost more than any shirt I had purchased since my credit card hell days. I grumbled about it from Friday night when I purchased it until last night. Believe you me, when I stepped outside with the walking group, to take off on our first trek together, into the 28 degree weather I was grumbling no more. It was worth EVERY cent.

It was necessary for me to change into my walking apparel as soon as I clocked out from work in order to get to the park on time. It was the first time I had actually put the UA shirt on. Let's just say I no look so hot in that special wicking material! It definitely didn't work anything like my Aunt Sparkies's new magic pants. I had hoped I would have suddenly had an amazing physique, at least from the waist up!

My new goal is to look amazing in a cute little UA top for the Mini. Ideally I would like it to be a sport bra type thing but I think that that is a little too ambitious. I don't think the other 34,999 people would appreciate it.

Tonight I went back to working out at the Y. I won't pay to be a member there b/c of past experiences and the fact that I am a very stubborn person; however, I will take advantage of the FREE membership that they offer TNT members. I have definitely become pretty rusty in the last couple of monthes. The entire time I was really disappointed in my performance. Of course, I wasn't being realistic. I can't possibly believe that I can not move for almost 3 monthes and then expect to go back to 2 hr a day workouts right off the bat.

Baby steps, I'm back to taking baby steps. But that's OK...they are baby steps in the right direction.

Baby steps are good. If you trip, you won't fly quite so far.
Love ya!
